Mustela Stelaker Cradle Cap Review

(More customer reviews)I like that this product is gentle and made for sensitive skin. It says fragrance free but unfortunately it smells awful. The worst part is that you have to leave it on overnight. This product did help remove the cradle cap flakes but so does Burt's Bees apricot oil. The oil smells great and it only takes 15 minutes and a comb. I love Mustela's newborn cradle cap shampoo but this product just didn't work for our family.

I noticed an immediate improvement using the Aveeno line of products. The only problem is that you miss that sweet baby smell (product unscented), but I'd rather have a healthy and comfortable baby.

(More customer reviews)My 9 month old baby has eczema in one of his cheeks and it was getting worst with the dry winter in WI.It got to a point where it got so dried that it was itchy and my baby started scratching his face until blood will come out.I used hydrocortisone to stop the itching but didnt want to used it for too long.I tried all the moisturizing creams available on drugstores and specialty stores until I found this one.In a couple of days his face was much better.I HIGHLY recommend this product as well as the facial cleanser.

(More customer reviews)My son suffers from light to moderate eczema. Moderate on his face, light patches on his legs. The cream didn't do anything as far as moisturizing or aid in healing the eczema. His skin isn't dry any other place so I can't comment on the moisturizing effect on dry skin that doesn't have eczema.

I used an entire tube on him when he was about 8 months, then decided to try it again since his is almost 2 years old so I bought another tube and it still performed the same. It's such a shame because it's such a thick, rich cream. It's probably best to use with just regular dry skin.

I personally wouldn't buy it again, but for every product you will have people who love or hate it so it might work for you. I went out and bought Aveeno baby eczema cream and I am going to try that next on my son.

(More customer reviews)This lotion is great - low on the Skin Deep database, moisturizing, and non greasy.However, the smell is very strong.For a baby, I would suggest the super sensitive lotion instead of this one (for the shampoo/body wash, conditioner, bubble bath, etc. as well).It has a very slight smell that I'm sure would be more pleasing to little noses.

(More customer reviews)I was unsure about this product because it seems so much like plain water. But it's consistently managed to help keep my son's diaper area rash-free. Even in the worst cases of diarrhea when the poor little guy had a very red diaper area, using this and then reapplying mild diaper cream (we love Weleda calendula cream), the next day the redness would be completely gone.

It's also great for cleansing cradle cap in the morning, after applying the wonderful Mustela cradle cap cream. (Which we used on both kids who had cradle cap well up to 1yr!)

An expensive product but worth it IMO.

(More customer reviews)I've struggled with my 4 year old's eczema for most of his life.My pediatrian finally recommended this lotion.After only a few aplications his skin is clear, softer and smoother then it has been ever.It absorbs quickly and leaves no stickness and has next to no fragrance so he doesn't mind being slathered up.I only use it after his bath a couple of times a week and his skin has stayed clear and smooth.Occasionally I've used it on my 7 month old and it works great for him too eventhough he doesn't have skin problems...yet. I've tried it on myself for my skin conditions especially my hands and it hasn't worked quite as well.I think with the frequent washing of my hands I need something more emoilent.I am thinking of trying the CeraVe cream for myself it may work better for more frequently washed super dry skin.
