(More customer reviews)After seeing the video add online and the coverage it had on a tv morning show I thought I would splurge and purchase, now I wish I had saved my money. I purchased the tub and the stand, almost 100.00 bath tub, I would expect amazing results.Not only does my little guy hate it and screams the entire time he's in it, but its miserable if you want to actually wash your child.If a soak is all you need then its fine, but try to wash anything below the head and forget it, you have to lift the baby out of the water with one hand and try to wash him with the other and dunk him back down before he gets cold (and not feeling very safe while doing this either), or you're washing him underwater and then theres no soap on your cloth.I really wish I had passed on this purchase.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this tub for my 8 month old because it was bio plastic and seemed a good size for storage. The tub I received was not the same color as the picture and had scratches in the plastic making an extremely sharp surface, WOULD NOT PUT MY BABY IN THIS TUB. Needless to say, she also did not fit in this tub, at all! She is 16 lbs but not sitting up yet. The "non slip" surface is one textured picture of a baby on the back. Would NOT recommend.

(More customer reviews)Having a child that is now two years old and another one on the way, Iconsider myself a mom that is in the know about lots of products for babies to toddlers on the market.I'll be reviewing the Tummy Tub today, a product I would have loved to know about and owned back when my daughter Melody was born.

First and foremost, bath experiences for your baby should not be upsetting or traumatizing in any way. This brings me to remembering the first few baths given to my daughter once we were home from the hospital. I had purchased one of those long bath tubs that's a massive space hog because I didn't know any different and that's what was available to me in the stores I shopped at.

My daughter would end up crying for her entire bath and be completely freezing no matter how quickly and much I tried to keep warm water on her. Also when she got a little bigger but not quite able to sit up on her own yet, she would end up getting bruises on her back from lift that was in the tub I purchased. I was not happy with that at all and neither was she as you can tell from the photo on the right.

My second child hasn't been born quite yet and with that being said, I have only been able to test and review the Tummy Tub with my two year old daughter. Before I received this tub, I was skeptical if she would even fit but low and behold she does and absolutely loves her bath times even more!

I like that I can sit over the side of the bathtub and easily wash my child without bending over uncomfortably or kneeling on the floor, very helpful to a very pregnant mommy with an already achy back I might add. Though if wanting to wash your baby elsewhere, you could easily purchase the stool accessory also available on the Tummy Tub website which also doubles as a toddler step stool.

I've been using the Tummy Tub for about a week now and have had no issues with it whatsoever.Will I use this with my newborn? You can bet that I will though I will be careful because bathing a newborn baby in a sitting position can be a little tricky with them not being able to support their own head quite yet. I will note the more I have used this tub, the more comfortable I have gotten using it.

I highly recommend the Tummy Tub to all mothers.

PRIMO Ducky Bath and Toy Bag (White bath with yellow cushion) Review

(More customer reviews)Our bathtub is an older model and too narrow for the well reviewed PRIMO pearl tub, so I was really excited to see this product available as a smaller option. It's a great first tub for our newborn and works well -- she loves bathtime and I think this tub has a lot to do with it. The incline is helpful for her to sit upright (even though she can't do so herself). I never bothered with the duck toy bag/cushion as I figured it would take forever to dry, and our girl is too little for toys still. But it's a nice-to-have, I guess. What's best about this tub: lightweight, fits our bath, is molded with "hooks" so it can dry on the shower bar into the tub, and not take up floor or tub-floor space, and it has a drain in the bottom so we can empty the tub without having to tilt it over. There are two wells at the foot of the tub (for shampoo or soap bottles as a caddy?) which I use for clean water for rinsing at the end of the bath. Totally recommend this for little babies.

UPDATE: Still loving it at 8 months, although now that our little one can sit herself up and has much longer legs, we're just starting to outgrow it and think about moving to the big tub like a big girl. Still a great buy, though, and totally recommend.

UPDATE: Now past a year and we still use this tub each time. Mostly though because I can't figure out what to buy next -- rings seem suspicious, big tub too big. But I figure until her legs drape over completely (and she's 30in, 24lbs) we've still got more mileage.

Dream Baby Deluxe Bath Seat Review

(More customer reviews)Before I purchased this seat, I read-over all the reviews.Upon receiving the seat, I messed around with it quite a bit to "test" the most common complaints.There are a few funny quirks with it, but I think a majority of the complaints are due to improper use or unrealistic expectations.This seat is the best bath seat on the market; the only legitimate "issues" it has are issues that would be shared with most any bath seat because of the general nature of restraining a floating child.I'm going to addess the most common complaints based on my experience.

1. The seat can float and it moves or doesn't stick:Well, sort of. If you stick the seat to the tub and then fill the tub with water, it traps air under the seat, which can break the force of the suction cups and make the seat float.However, if you partially fill the tub before putting the seat in, you trap much less air underneath and it sticks just fine.Once the air is out, the seat barely moves at all.If you push firmly on the seat, you can get it to slide a little, but that's kind of how suction cups operate when they are wet.I don't think the movement is worth the worry; my 2-yr old braced himself on the seat to stand up and it didn't move.

2.The plastic is hard and cuts into the skin, leaving marks:There are no sharp edges on this seat and it doesn't really dig into the skin.The one issue I did see is that the leg openings in the t-bar are small and designed to securely hold the lower thigh or knee.If the baby is sitting all the way back in the seat, with his back pressed against the back-rest portion, this is not an issue.BUT, as anyone with an infant can attest, a baby's bottom wants to float/slide forward.My son ended up with his chunky thighs squeezed in there because he wouldn't sit back in the seat.It was tight fit, as my son is 20lbs, and he did end up with red marks on his legs.This bothered me, however, he could have cared less.He was so happy "free-sitting" in the water that he didn't seem to notice the tight fit.Also, I think it's important to realize that the seat is a restraint designed to keep a very buoyant baby from floating or tipping over.Please tell me what seat restraint wouldn't leave some red marks?Or what design would prevent the baby from sliding forward?

3.The suction cups break off:This is the most ridiculous complaint that I read.First of all, the cups are SCREWED to the bottom of the seat.Like, with metal screws.I'm sure if you just grabbed the seat and ripped it out of the tub, you *might* be able to tear the suction cups off.However, I think we all know you aren't supposed to remove suction cups that way.The seat has four large cups, each with an easily-accessable release strip.If you pull on each strip, the suction cups pop right off.

4.The T-bar locks are difficult to operate:Freshly out of the box, these latches are incredibly difficult to slide.I was anticipating a huge struggle when it came time to get my son out of the tub.However, I discovered the that latches slide so much easier once they are wet.It's still slightly awkward to unlatch because of the angle, but not impossible or overly aggravating.And, honestly, I would rather have the latches be a little tight then have them pop open on their own.

Bottom line:This seat makes bath time soooo much easier and is well worth the purchase (BTW, I got it for $15 less at Wal-Mart).Four stars only because the locks are a little annoying.

(More customer reviews)We didn't realize just how much our daughter loved the water before we had this tub.It makes bathtime so much fun! We especially love the freedom that this tub offers.The unique molding cradles the baby safely, while allowing both of your hands free to bathe.I had tried other tubs which were so much more difficult to manage.One arm was always tied up with supporting the baby- very tiring as she sqirmed vigorously.Also, I am amazed at the ingenious design.No matter how our daughter splashes, she stays firmly, safely reclined.The deeper section allows her the freedom to kick and truly enjoy the water.At first, I had teased my husband for picking out the largest and most expensive tub.He thought that it looked like a little baby spa.And I thought where are we going to store it?But this is only a minor drawback.The advantages far outweigh any difficulty of size.Actually, we will be able to use the tub longer since our daughter won't outgrow it for quite some time.We think that it makes a great, indepensible gift for any parent.A definite must for any Water Baby!
